Clive is one of the riders in the 7th-22nd August LEJOG group and webmaster/author of this site
Worried that he would become the "lanterne rouge" of the tour (named after the slowest rider of the Tour de France who in the early days would ride with a red lantern to warn off oncoming traffic) , he cunningly suggested the formation of the Gruppo de Gelato, with the aim of getting the faster riders to keep him company in a constant search for ice creams to fuel the ride.
